How to enter yoSmarty and win big!
Entering yoSmarty is easy. First, find a topic on yoSmarty that you're passionate about. Then get your ideas and cameras rolling. Create a video that you think the rest of us need to hear, and upload it to a topic channel. But be warned, winning is no cake walk. Here are a couple suggestions for standing out:
Be smart. There's a reason why this site is called yoSmarty.
Be unique. This means you may want to spend more than 30 seconds figuring out a clever twist on your point of view.
Be creative. It doesn't hurt to have a little production value. Simply talking to your camera in your mom's basement is hardly creative. You don't want to be just another 'talking head.'
There are 3 ways to win prizes worth thousands of dollars.
The Brainiac award will be chosen by a secret society within yoSmarty referred to as our Underground Brain Board. This group will decide which video represents our sacred standards. The winner will score a 13" MacBook Pro and a 32 gigabyte iPod Touch.
And to keep things really interesting, John Q. Public (that's anyone) can vote for the 2nd place award, otherwise known as Most Smarty. People can simply click on the Thumbs Up voting icon option next to your video. The video with the most Thumbs Up votes during our contest period wins. The prize? A 13" MacBook Pro. Not bad for just making a video, huh?

Finally, if you happen to be one of those people who like to tout their lack of insight, you can also be eligible to win the last place award known as Biggest Cheese. This award is given to the video that has NO ability to persuade anyone on anything, yet, has some kind of creative and unique flair. And, yeah, the public votes for this one too by clicking on the Cheese voting icon option next to your video. The video in the Cheese Category that is voted with the most Cheese votes during our contest period wins. The prize? A big ball of cheese redeemable at your local grocery store. Just kidding.
